Northern Garden
The rose garden (the 'female' garden), with a central raised circular
patio is dominated by an ornate domed gazebo with a central chandelier
water feature.
A backdrop of sandstone cladded columns frame a wrought iron gate,
with other wrought iron gates used as screens and decorative panels
throughout the rose garden. The domed gazebo framed by topiary balls
in small urns and the surrounding circular rose garden is then flanked
by a forest space with a sandstone bench for seating.
Southern Garden
The southern garden (masculine side) continues the formal lines of
the rose garden opposite, with a much more rustic and naturalistic
feel.
The clipped hedges, avenue of trees and mowed grass pathways with
cobbled edging form the formal structure, while the wild grassy veld
planting create a very relaxed feel to the space.
The cladded feature wall on the main axis has a raised circular patio
with a striking focal point of a "Dream Big" disc. |
